It’s Nassau Grouper closed season.


From December 1st–February 28th, all capture, sale, and purchase of Nassau Grouper is prohibited.


This pause helps protect spawning and secures the future of Bahamian fisheries.

Bahamas cruisers are urged to be responsible in taking only the allowed numbers of conch and to help remedy the situation of the fast-dwindling population.
