Changes to 2025 Cruising Permit Customs Fees
There have been updates to portions of the Cruising Permit Customs Fee structure that went into effect on July 1, 2025.
The concise changes:
Cost covers return visit within 30 days (previously 90 days)
Cruising permit good for 12 months provided the vessel remains in the Bahamas
Pleasure vessels carrying more than three passengers must pay $30 each additional per passenger over six years old. (previously two adults plus children under three years old)
Frequent Digital Cruising Card (FDCC)
Allows unlimited visits, valid for two years.
Required to still clear Customs each entry. Does not cover Customs Fees & overtime for officers.
Under 50 feet -- $1,500
51-99 feet -- $2,500
Over 100 ft -- $8,000
Vessels over 50 feet must have a properly functioning Automatic Identification System (AIS) that is turned on at all times.
Fine -- $1,000
